Special Postal Cover Launched On the Occasion of World Sepsis Day 2025

On the occasion of World Sepsis Day, Aionios Pharma, in association with the General Post Office, Bengaluru launched a Special Postal Cover at the Bengaluru General Post Office to raise awareness on sepsis — a life-threatening medical emergency where the body’s response to infection can cause organ failure and death if not treated promptly.

The Special Postal Cover was unveiled by Padma Shri Dr. C. N. Manjunath, Member of Parliament Senior Cardiologist & Former Director of Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences & Research, Bengaluru.

The special Postal Cover symbolizes the urgent need for awareness to reach every household and clinician. Supported by the Department of Posts, Karnataka Circle, and leading medical experts, the initiative highlights “5 Facts and 5 Actions” that can save lives by ensuring timely recognition and treatment.

The guests who were part of the launch includes Smt. Tara V, DPS Bengaluru (HQ), Region Karnataka Circle, Mr. H M Mangesha, Chief Postmaster GPO Bengaluru, Dr. Murali Srinivasan, Chief of Medical Services, Manipal Health Enterprises, Dr. Shashi Bhushan B L, Director, Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Chest Diseases, Dr. Farooq Ullah Khan, Consultant Intensive Care Physician, Bhagwan Mahaveer Jain Hospital, Vasanthanagar, Dr. Pradeep Rangappa, Consultant, Intensive Care Physician, Manipal Hospital-Yeshwantpur, Bengaluru, and Mr. N K Raja, Chairman & Manging Director, Aionios Pharma.

Speaking at the event, experts emphasized that millions of lives are lost worldwide each year due to delayed diagnosis of sepsis.
